Beach in At Samui Haus
Excellent owner, Gung, always ready to help and always smiling. Excellent English. Staff also very nice. The resort was kept clean. Good swimming pool, great for swimming. Good Air con. Good WiFi signal. Really hot water from the shower, great. My sea view room on the beach, well, above it. Steps at terrace to go down directly on to the beach. Terrace quite private (not fully). Gung has dogs which do get excited when other dogs wander past, just yappy. Otherwise quite peaceful. Very close to the naval base, not that you would know it. I had a jacuzzi on the terrace but hardly used it as the sea was pretty good for swimming. Good length of beach for walking. Bar restaurant just up the beach if wanting different place to eat rather than the in house restaurant. The 7-11 is 1km from the resort. Rather than watching me walk Gung drove me there twice when I needed shopping. Also, when I asked her to book me a taxi to my next stay, the taxi was Gung. Obviously for a taxi fee. But how kind and thoughtful she was/is. Pool towel and shower towel provided.

Amazing position on a perfect tropical beach. This side of the island is not so developed as the east coast and is lovely and quiet. Often we were the only swimmers. We had a Seaview room which opened on to a small terrace with jacuzzi, but more importantly, immediately above a lovely sandy beach shaded by mature trees. Kung and her team are very friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Home cooked food in the bar area was consistently good. A special piece of paradise! (So good, we are going back after we have seen a bit more of Thailand!).

It was a wonderful time there. We really enjoyed every day and rested a lot. Everything was great - beautiful surroundings, tasty food, helpful people, comfortable rooms. Very important: they have private beach only few steps so I could feel more freely. Don't have special vegetarian menu, but they made meals for me with meat and fish excluded. Have a little souvenirs shop with nice things and sweet little dogs.

Just a very friendly place, felt at ease, and any queries or issues are resolved very quickly and efficiently, e.g. AC had an issue, and when notified, it was sorted straight away. The lady at the reception was very sweet and helpful in all our staying, like all the other staff was very friendly and helpful. I also rent a motorbike, very good. The room is spectacular, very big, with all confort and with jacuzzi outside in the balcony. It is very close to the ferry, perfect for the travel. The pool is good and the beach front is very relaxing.
